How do I become involved?

Helpline House has a great volunteer program and more than 100 regular volunteers. They range in age from 8 to 80...and come from many walks of life and experiences. What they have in common is a desire to lend a helping hand and to be useful.

Clothing Connection

If you have dreamed of working in a small boutique, come join us at the "Barn Marche". We need help sorting donations, arranging items in the store and helping shoppers.

Food Bank

Are you a morning person? How about picking up bread and produce at the local market while having your morning latte? Or are you a great organizer? Our pantry needs your help. Last, but definitely not least, we have opportunities for Food Bank check-out - no money or change to worry about either!

Helpline Desk

This job is for those who relish meeting new, interesting people in person and on the phone. This job gets it all - people in crisis or with a temporary need, those wishing to volunteer, and lots of questions.

Helpline Happenings

Helpline has many special projects throughout the year, if you like shorter-term volunteering. These project range from filling holiday baskets, to outfitting backpacks for school, to making birthdays special for kids, to a Santa Shop.

Community Service and Occasional Help

Our shortest-term volunteering opportunity consists of occasional jobs such as helping to unload food from major food drives and stocking the Food Bank, helping shoppers in the Santa Shop during the holiday season, helping to reorganize the storage of items donated to Helpline, and other numerous tasks that come up.

Helpline Board

Are you creative? Do you have financial skills? Are you a whiz at marketing? You could be a great help on the Helpline Board, helping to keep Helpline providing the amazing services they provide.
