Clothing Connection

The Clothing Connection is one of our most popular programs and the only local, free source for clothes and small household goods. Approximately 150 households benefit from our community's generosity each month.

The Clothing Connection is located in the "barn" on Helpline House property and the hours of operation are

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The Clothing Connection will be closed on December 13 and 14 for the Holiday Store set-up, and will be open during the week of December 17-21 during the Holiday Store operations. The Clothing Connection will then be closed from December 21 through January 7, 2008.

Please bring items you wish to donate during the Clothing Connection's open hours if possible. Otherwise, bring items during our general business hours -- 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Please, do not leave donations outside at any time when Helpline is closed.

What's available

A wide variety of clothing is available at the Clothing Connection including adult and children's clothing - work, school, casual, and play. Shoes are also available, but in limited quantity.

Small household items such as linens, dishes, kitchen pots and pans are stocked in small quantities, as well as a small selection of paperback books and DVDs.

What we gladly accept

We welcome in-season useable clean clothing. Because we have no cleaning, laundry, or tailoring facilities, torn, soiled, or damaged clothing is discarded. We also welcome small household goods such as those items necessary to set up housekeeping, including pots and pans, dishes, bed linens, bathroom linens, and small appliances in working order.

While we accept some toys and books in good or excellent condition, we have limited space, so you may be redirected to other agencies for donation purposes.

Unfortunately we can't accept furniture, appliances, mattresses, computers or TVs.
